AS Heroes Interviews — By Pablo on March 4, 2010 at 03:15http://www.riactive.com
- How would you introduce yourself and your job to a non-technical person?
I am a very cool guy who loves to share his knowledge about Adobe products. I like gadgets, videogames, music and spend some time with my friends. I am very passionate about Web Design an Web Development, recently RIA development too. In my non-working time I like to skate, watch movies, dance salsa, and enjoy life.
- How did you get started with Flash?
At high-school I was very surprised about animation and web design so I decided to take a course about Flash 3 and I love it! I learned how to make my first Motion Tween and the rest is history, I have been involved with Flash since then.
- Who or what is your inspiration?
A lot of people that I know face to face and even people that I never seen in my life inspire me every day. If I look for something very creative I go to the FWA website and look for an attractive website. My favourite flashers/flexers pros are Marco Casario, Grant Skinner, Colin Moock, Jeff Tapper, Andre Michelle, Mike Chambers…
- What does a typical day look like for you?
I wake up and go to skate, then possibly I have a Flex/Flash class to teach in the morning. After that I have a death match against my emails, feeds and tweets. Beyond that my time split up between my consultant-instructor-developer role.
- What are your thoughts about the Flash community in general, what do you like or what would you like to see change?
Flash Community is one of the most active communities out there, we are always thinking crazy things to explore the limits of our favorite technology. One of the things that I like the most is that besides the age of every Flash developer or designer, all the members of the community feel so young and with a lot of energy.
- How do you see the future for yourself and for the Flash Platform?
I would like to be more involved in development of RIAs, to continue teaching Flash Platform would be great and if only I could transmit this passion to other people to help me growing up the community I will be very happy. I see a very interesting future of Flash Platform beyond computers, maybe some day I could probably design the UI for my wash-machine, my car’s dashboard, and every interface that I use in my life with Flash.
