ABOUT: Flash and the City is primed to redefine the way we think about conferences in the future. “Out of the box” and “Flash and the City”are not marketing terms, but descriptions of how the eventis designed. The venue for our on-site sessions is one of a kind. We’re holding the ActionScript/Flex, Mobile, Technology, and Inspiration track sessions at the 3-Legged Dog (3LD) Technology Center and Theatre. The 3LD is a cutting-edge space designed to facilitate the production of new media and large-scale experimental artwork. Sharky, or Yun Khang Lai has worked in motion graphics, 3d animation and editing since 2001 and has not faltered in his passion for animation, creating stunning videos to accompany concerts, conferences and television. As technology quickly evolved, he maintained a strong foothold on software such as After Effects, Final Cut Pro and Maya, keeping himself up to date with the latest work flows to more efficiently articulate his skills around an ever changing media industry.

Music composer: Dmitry Lifshitz

Born in USSR in 1975 in the small town of Serov (Ural), Dmitry finished musical school (violin) and moved to Israel in 1992.

By day, Dmitry played Vivaldi’s Concerto “A” minor for Two Violins at musical school, but by night, he played guitar in a punk band called “Pot Of Honey”.

In the year 2000, he began growing an interest in synthesizers, samplers, and sound engineering. As a nice result, Dmitry writes soundtracks for movies and also produces / writes music for different artists.

At present, Dmitry’s full-time job is writing / producing music and he is a freelancer in post production sound studios. He composes in various styles of music for any kind of projects – animations, short films, documentary, TV shows and advertisements. In the last two years, he has written and continues to write music for different music libraries, most of them in USA.

Also, Dmitry is a member in a Yiddish Metal band called “Gevolt
